Community & Events

Our Communities

Being an honest-to-goodness community bank means that we live in, work in and serve our communities. We raise our families here. We strive to enrich these areas and the lives of our customers who reside and work here. In fact, because of our practice of hosting after-hours community events, the neighbors of our original location have nicknamed it "Lakewood's Living Room."

Community Comes First

    Veritex Bank Championship

The PGA TOUR has just released  information regarding the PGA Tour and its upcoming events.  This release includes the cancellation of the Veritex Bank Championship which was to be conducted on April 16-19 at the Texas Rangers Golf Club.

While we are disappointed that the inaugural Veritex Bank Championship will not be conducted as part of this year’s Korn Ferry Tour season, we strongly support the decision that is in the best interest of the community to get past these trying times.  The Veritex Bank Championship will be back in 2021 and hope that you will continue to support this effort in bringing championship caliber golf to the Arlington community for many years to come.  Sports has long been an igniter for the community and we hope that we will be cheering on our favorite teams and participating in our favorite sports in the very near future.
