In January 2007, Veritex Bank created a community outreach program to provide a peer network for professional women in the Lakewood area. In 2008, Veritex added a Park Cities/North Dallas program. Since inception, the programs have been well received and grown considerably. Lakewood-area Women in Business and Park Cities/North Dallas Women in Business each hold monthly social networking events and additional social opportunities with the premise of "Make friends first and the business will follow." They are open to any female executive or business owner living and/or working in the general East Dallas or Park Cities/North Dallas areas.

In October 2021, we launched the WIB program in the Greater Houston area with the goal to continue connecting with women-owned businesses and expanding the network of community leaders.

There is no cost to join, as Veritex Community Bank underwrites these programs as part of its service to the community.

Veritex Community Bank's "Future Women in Business" Summer Internship Program, now over a decade, is a community outreach program that is an extension of our Lakewood-area Women In Business (LWIB) and Park Cities/North Dallas Women In Business (PC/ND WIB) programs for female business owners and executives. The Summer Internship Program partners young women from these respective areas who are entering their Sophomore, Junior or Senior year in colleges across the U.S. with female business owners and executives that are active members of one of these WIB organizations. If you are a woman-owned business seeking a college-aged intern, or a female college student entering your junior or senior year in the upcoming school year seeking paid summer internships, we'd love to hear from you!
