HOUSTON, TX—August 6, 2024—Veritex Community Bank, one of the 10 largest banks headquartered in Texas, has announced the hiring of Ralph Hamm as Executive Vice President of Commercial & Industrial (C&I) and Private Banking for Texas. Alongside Hamm, Peyton Jones, who has been in banking for almost 25 years and a part of the 2019 Green Bank/Veritex Bank merger, will continue to lead the Bank’s Commercial Real Estate (CRE) and Builder Finance teams, as well as assume the position of Houston Market President.

Hamm brings 25-years of banking experience in commercial banking. Throughout his career he has demonstrated exceptional leadership, recently as a P&L owner, guiding a team of more than 300. His expertise is extensive and includes Business Banking, Middle Market, Mid-Corporate, and his proven track record is notable in multiple states, including Texas, where he has successfully cultivated deep community relationships and significantly grown market share. Hamm is a graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point, where he was the Captain of the Army Golf Team. Veritex Bank, known as The Golf Bank of Texas, represents more than twenty-five golfers on all levels from junior golf to major champions.

Peyton Jones, a veteran in commercial real estate finance, is set to enhance the bank’s capabilities in the CRE sector. Additionally, Jones moves into the position of Houston Market President. His leadership in the Houston office will solidify Veritex Bank’s position as a key player in one of Texas’ most dynamic markets.
