New Branch Brings Banking Services to Financially Underserved in Southern Dallas
Dallas, Texas — March 6, 2024, (www.veritexbank.com) Veritex Community Bank is pleased to announce the opening of Veritex Community Bank Cedar Crest in the newly renovated Cedar Crest Community Center in southern Dallas. The branch will be incorporated inside the community center and offer personal and business banking services, as well as lending services. A grand opening celebration is planned Friday, April 12, 2024, at 8:30am with live coverage on WFAA’s “Good Morning Texas.”

Not only will our Veritex location within the center offer convenience for the residents, Veritex is committed to offering financial literacy programs as well. Our location within the center coupled with the space available to meet with members of all ages in the community will allow us to provide financial literacy programs on an ongoing basis.”
Cedar Crest Community Center began a $12 million renovation after Behind Every Door (BED), a nonprofit committed to investing in the community, purchased the property in 2019. Prior to that, the center had been owned and operated by the Salvation Army. Located at 1007 Hutchins Road in Dallas, and comprised of 8 acres, the community center offers a 20,000-squre-foot facility with a basketball court and workout center, a 4,000-square-foot chapel and a football and baseball field.
Veritex Bank’s commitment to the renovation project includes an annual financial gift of $250,000 over a four-year period for a total of $1,000,000, in addition to the branch within the center.
