Veritex Community Bank Welcomes Doug Cacurak as Managing Director of Commercial Banking for Dallas-Fort Worth

DALLAS, TX – March 5, 2024 – Veritex Community Bank is proud to announce the appointment of Doug Cacurak as Managing Director of Commercial Banking for the Dallas-Fort Worth market. With a rich history spanning 30 years in the banking industry and a deep connection to the Dallas-Fort Worth area, Doug’s expertise and leadership are poised to grow the bank’s commercial operations and client relationships.

Doug comes to Veritex after a distinguished career at several top-tier financial institutions. As the Senior Vice President and Group Sales Executive at PNC Bank, he was instrumental in the North Texas market post-acquisition of BBVA Compass Bank. His tenure as Area Executive Vice President at First Citizens Bank and various senior roles at Capital One Bank, including Group Sales Executive and Sales Performance Executive, have all contributed to his reputation as a stalwart in the banking community. Doug also sharpened his skills in the Dallas-Fort Worth market during his time as a Market Manager at Chase.

His academic achievements from The University of Texas at San Antonio, where he earned both a Bachelor of Business Administration and an MBA lay the foundation for his professional success.

Doug’s life beyond banking is marked by a 25-year-long loving marriage with his wife Heather, raising two children, and enjoying travel and golf. His upbringing in a military family has endowed him with a profound respect for the military and an international outlook.
